Ten CONCACAF teams are among the twelve competing in the football competition as part of the XIX Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held 23 November ? 6 December a two venues to be determined in El Salvador.
Joining the hosts are FC members Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba and Barbados. Also competing will be CONMEBOL nations Venezuela and Columbia.
The field will be divided into four groups of three teams apiece for first round round-robin play with the top two finishers in each group advancing the quarterfinals, to take place 1 and 2 December. The two semifinal matches will be played on 4 December in the same venue with the tournament wrapping up two days later.
