Haiti advanced to the Final Round of CONCACAF Women?s Olympic Qualification next year in Costa Rica after eliminating the host Dominican Republic in a preliminary round series 10:2 on aggregate over the weekend
After easily taking the first-leg 7:0 on 31 October, Haiti posted a 3:2 comeback victory over the Dominican Republic at the San Cristóbal?s Estadio de Fútbol on 2 November.
Judith Pierre got Haiti on the board first with a goal in the 21st minute, but the Dominican Republic scored twice in a span of six minutes to take a 2:1 lead, with tallies by Dahiana Joseph (33rd) and Jocelyn Rodriguez (39th).
Fernande Hilaire leveled the score (2:2) in the 55th minute and then Sherline Ridore got the game-winner for Haiti with two minutes remaining for the 3:2 final.
Haiti joins the USA in Group B at the Final Round of the CONCACAF Women?s Olympic Qualification in Costa Rica from 25 February ? 7 March 2004. Canada and Costa Rica are in Group A in the Final Round that will qualify two CONCACAF teams to the Summer Games in Athens, Greece. COMPLETE WOMEN'S BRACKET
