Soccer fans in Haiti were celebrating, and Hondurian fans were leaving the Stadium, when Honduras equalized in the final minutes of the game. Early in the first half, Honduras gets on the board first, but by the end of the first half the Grenadiers take the lead with two goals by Jean Philippe Peguero, the forward of Don Bosco FC. Honduras equalized with a free kick. (click on the title to read full article)
The Haitian team benefited from the return of Peter Germain, he could not play the 1st leg match due to a red card in the Dominican Republic game. Peter Germain started in the place of Jean Michel Alexandre Bourcicault. Alexandre Bourcicault is full of speed, strength and technique, he's a very dangerous player, but could not create much in the first leg game. Rudy Lomera started in the place of Ricardo Pierre-Louis, along side Jean Philippe Peguero. Rudy Lomera was then replaced by Jude Maceus. In the defense Arnel Bourcicault, started in the place of Delsa Jean Judain.

Haiti appears to have found the right formula on offense, but too late for the olimpics. Haiti played a beautifull game against Honduras, it's good that they had the chance to play this team twice. The Haitian players are at a point, that they can only get better by playing, stronger opponents. Honduras was one of the two teams that qualified for the last olympics. For Haiti to lead against them for most of the game and almost beating them at home, is a sign that we have a competitive team.
We do have a lot to work on, in the first leg game in Miami, the word to describe the Haitian team was "Hesitation" while Honduras was playing like they had a map of Haiti in their hand. The objective now should be to integrate some of these players in the selection A, and schedule some friendly games against stronger teams. This time, I hope the Federation Haitienne de Football, will not make the same mistake (Jorge Casteli), if the selection loses a few games.
