Haiti foot.com was a site that I used to check on the national teams. But, it hasn't updated lately. The national teams should have their own sites. Sometimes I hear about a player, and I want to watch how they play on the pitch, there's no way I can find that. Those players could put thmselves on youtube for people to watch. Peguero is on youtube. Once again the league should provide that kind of thing. It's a way for the world to see the talent. And, a way to get contracts abroad.
BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!
In any case, I've been reading some people out here dismissing the Dutch Antilles. I'm not afraid of them, but we should take them seriously. We should think of them like we were going to play the Brazil. Don't ever dismiss your oponent, because he knows you are better already, so he'll be ready for you. You remember the US beat England in the 1950 World Cup 1-0 in Brazil. A goal that was scored by a HAITIAN named JOE GAETJENS. NO BS. Remember there are eleven players against you. It takes one goal to beat you. Barbados beat our 1974 team 3-0 in 1973, St Kitts, St Kitts beat us man, even the Dutch Antilles beat our 1974 team. We beat Guadeloupe 3-0 in the Caribean Cup champioship then in the Gold Cup they almost took us apart. We get too over confident too much. Last night I was watching San lauranzo playing River Plate in the Copa Libertadores: River PLate was 2-0 at half time, San Lauranzo was playing with ten players then nine players. San Lauranzo ended up beating River Plate my team by 4-2 at the bondera River Plate stadium, shock. What about us playing Mexico at the Olympique qualifiers with nine players, though we lost but the way Johnny Placide was playing it was like we had twenty players. To me, this was a victory playing against those over rated, over paid Mexican players. The goal is to beat any team, no matter how small, better, how much money they get paid, it's to beat them the same way.
BEWARE BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO BE DISSAPOINTED AGAIN.
Sponsors are always reluctant to invest on a loosing team. If the national team was beating all the opponents, they would have Nike, Adidas, and Puma fighting to pay for sponsorship. In the meantime it’s the government or regular people like us who have to put money in the can for them. Don’t worry the government will come up with the money. They always do. That was the same thing with the U23 team before the Olympic qualifiers. The only team that had no problem at all ever was the U17. I don’t know, that team is the Jewell of the government from the start. You could see how good they turn out to be too. Why? The money was there. The reward, now those guys are getting calls from teams all over the world. Haitan foot ball could make a lot of money by selling players abroad if they took things seriously; We play too amateurish, if we could play as a resemblance of professionals we could make money abroad.
We can't always wait for the government to do everything. Haiti football is a private entity. The government doesn't have a stake in ASC Mirbalais, Racing, Violette etc.. Those teams don't give dividends to the government. FHF is a private entity, they should raise their own money. The government should facilitate the well being of the teams like stadiums and in return it should be the teams which should pay the government for facilitating. THIS IS NOT 1974 THIS IS 2008 WHERE FOOTBALL IS PLAYED PROFESSIONALLY. A band can have a sponsor for three days during the carnival, you mean to tell me that a team wich have the potential to play on a world stage can not get a sponsor. Comme on, wake up. It's marketing, marketing, stop thinking small, think big. Digicel came to Haiti with a non-Haitian mentality, sponsored the national team, now it is rewarded. Think big, man. Stop that corridor mentality, the government doesn't have money to pay our players, man. Immagine for a moment ASC Mirbalais not Violette selling a player to Barcelona or Manchester United for $1,000.000, do you know how much good that would do for football in Mirbalais or that city? Now immagine all the other teams selling players at one million or more, I don't think the FHF would be calling on the government. They wouldn't even need sponsors.

You are one of a kind. I have heard everybody talking about their passion for football never about the leadership behind it. Many of my friends on the blog think that football is just about getting games and find some money few days before the game to prepare players.
This is the philosophy behind the attitude of the federation and I could see that they have great support for it. When I spoke about extreme lack of leadership last week on this blog, some people even threaten me .We must change the culture of leadership in Haiti before we can hope. The audacity of hope will always need to be fused with good leadership. Not what I see going on in the FHF right now. Everytime they speak they blame the government. If the government should finance football the government should be able to scrutinize the merit of the leaders of football in the country. If you have not proven that you have the capacity to create result, why should government give you money.to do what? the FHF is an epitomy of failure.
Marketing will never be a part of that FHF in Haiti. never, never. They will continue to wait for their next game to fail. They are in love with failure. MAYbe i SHOULD BLAME FIFA, since someone told me that those guys cannot be removed. I neED to regain some Haitian pride, God help me!

FHF doesn't need to look elsewhere for sponsors while it has all these potential sponsors in their backyard. I mean the other soccer federations in our area have done and it has worked for them. For example, coca-cola always sponsor the Mexican team because Mexico is one of the top countries where they sell most of their products and to keep that customer loyalty they sponsor every event that has to do with Mexico (the Mexican people buys more coca-cola than any other country in the world.) Its vice and versa you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Governments should not play THE MAIN role in football or sports in general and that's why there is FIFA and soccer Federations, its to keep governments and all their influences out. Now when it comes to organizing a FIFA tournament then the government can step in to create a sort of platform to make the preparations processes easier such as security details and what not. Sorry it took so long to get to my point but i felt i needed to make that statement... FHF should not go around and begging the gorvernment for money when there is all these companies that makes profit on the back of Haitian people. For example companies such as CAM, Rhum Barbancourt, Western Union, and etc... should be able to sponsor not only our soccer teams but Haitian Sports in general because they do businesses in our community so it's a SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY for them. Now the FHF on its part should at least know how to put together a nice little short-term goal plan or outline or even a 5 or 10 year plan for that matter and start making proposals to these potential sponsors. But im afraid the only reason these companies have not make the effort is because FHF or any of the other sports officials does not have a formal plan that outline their short-term or long-term goals.
Before i leave, can anyone please let me know in what field does Dadou have his doctorate degree and what experience does he or anyone in his team of officials have in running an organization, maybe then we can start to recognize the roots of all the mistakes, errors, lack of leadership,
NO MORE LEARNING ON THE JOB PEOPLE...CONCACAF IS CHANGING AND ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME WE CHANGE WITH IT.
