CONCACAF confirms new format for 2007 Under-17 Final Round
26.9.06 - CONCACAF has confirmed the new format for the Under-17 Final Round next year that will qualify five teams will qualify to the FIFA U-17 World Cup Korea 2007.
The new format for the CONCACAF U-17 Final Round, set for April 2007, will have total of nine countries competing in two groups, with groups to be hosted by Honduras (Group A ? four teams) and Jamaica (Group B ? five teams).
Joining the host nations in the CONCACAF U-17 Final Round are Canada,
Haiti, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, USA and two more countries to qualify from the Central American Qualification, which is set for El Salvador next month. COMPLETE FIXTURES
A draw to determine the teams in Group A and B will be made once U-17 qualification is concluded and all the Final Round teams are confirmed.
The top two teams from CONCACAF Final Round Group A along with the best three Group B sides will progress to the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2007.
