Pierre-Louis Earns SSAC, Region Honors Again
Lee's Ricardo Pierre-Louis was outstanding this past week in helping lead his team to two key Southern States Athletic Conference victories over Shorter College and Emmanuel College. For his efforts Pierre-Louis was named the SSAC and Region XIII Player of the Week for the third time.
Pierre-Louis, a sophomore forward from Leogane, Haiti, recorded two consecutive hat-tricks in leading his team to victories. In the first game against Shorter College, Pierre-Louis had three goals which helped blanket the host team 7-0. He followed that effort with a four-goal outing against Emmanuel College on Saturday night in a 9-2 victory. For the season, the 2005 SSAC Newcomer of the Year has scored 22 goals and recorded 6 assists.
Pierre-Louis and the No. 8 Flames will be back in action for the regular-season home finale against a stellar Berry College team. The contest will decide the who finishes runner-up in the conference. The game starts at 7 pm at the Lee University Soccer Field.
