The Haitian Grenadiers are ready for their 2nd battle in the Digicel Caribbean Cup. Seven teams out of 12 will qualify for the final round of the digicel Caribbean Cup hosted by Caribbean World Cup 2006 finalist, Trinidad and Tobago. CONCACAF recently announced that 4 spots will be available to the Caribbean region for Gold Cup 2007 hosted by USA, thus the top 4 teams of the Digicel Final round will qualify. The teams battling to reach the final round of 8 (7 plus Trinidad & Tobago) are grouped as follows:

Haiti will be facing Cuba, the toughest opponent of the group on November 8th, 2006 at 6:00 PM ET. Cuba eliminated Haiti from the last Gold Cup in 2005 and the two teams played a couple of friendlies in Haiti, first match Haiti 0:0 Cuba; second match Haiti 0:1 Cuba with Lionel St-Preux of Zenith Cap Haitien missing a penalty kick. Haiti was without their NT players playing in foreign leagues, 5 staters in total:
