These famous words were uttered by the legendary American coach Vince Lombardi of tne NFL(National Football League.Haiti' s Baltimore of Saint Marc has over the years proven themselves worthy of being called winners not only by scoring spectaculars goals on the field but also by capturing the imagination of the nation in conducting themselves as winners off the field as well through community involvement and being role models for the youth.

Ever since the founding of this team in 1974,they have supplied a steady roaster of stars to the National team, which is not a small feat in a country where football is treated like a religion.Incidentally,1974 was also the year of Haiti's sole world cup appearance in Germany and despite their first round elimination by such powerhouses like Italy and Poland ,the world was awed by the ability,courage and determination displayed by the island nation.

Baltimore of Saint Marc carries on with that tradition of excellence which undoubtebly came from Haiti's ranking as one of the world's premier teams then.

Mind you,this is a team of the countryside of Haiti. Saint Marc,where they originate,is a city located north of Port-au-Prince the capital,in a region called Bas Artibonite.In Haiti where teams of the capital have more access to commercial sponsors and better equipped athletic facilities,Baltimore has over the years survived through the generosity of a passionate base of fans and thanks to the efforts of a first class organisation.

Their finest hour came two years ago when they finally reached the pinnacle of Haitian football by capping an undefeated 15-0 season with their first National Championship title.Not one to rest on theirs laurels, they were again crowned National Champions again this year, thus becoming the very first team to win the elusive cup back to back.

Baltimore's upcoming performance in Jamaica promises to be one for the ages and the public will be thrilled by this squad of skillful and exciting seasoned football stars determined to bring the cup back home.
