Congratulations Grenadiers!
Pregame report:
The main change in the Haiti squad is the coaching staff. Carlo Marcelin failed at the job with Haiti's best weapons at his disposal. His excuse after being defeated by Martinique was the absence of foreign based players, thus insinuating that Haiti's best was not good enough. The time for a change was overdue, trust goes both way and a coach who does not beleive on his own selection was no longer fit to lead the troops.
The Cuban approach: In any international competition Cuba is always well prepared, thus for once the Grenadiers left Haiti over a week prior to their first game to prepare for the playoffs. Magicians with the ball like Jean Sony "Tiga" Alcenat are left off the squad and impact players like Allexandre Boucicot were repositioned to produce results instead of a good show.
