THE 2007 Digicel Caribbean Cup football competition will be seen live throughout the Caribbean, and will also be shown on England's Sky Sports and in North America on the Fox Sports Channel. This was revealed by Dave Lamy, the media liaison officer for the tournament, who added that there will be no live television coverage here in Trinidad and Tobago.Â
On Sunday, there was live coverage of the qualifying match between  Bermuda and Haiti, who are battling for the final spot in the eight-team competition. The tournament runs from January 12 to 23 in Trinidad and Tobago, and will be contested in two groups.
After beating Bermuda 2-0 on Sunday, a draw today in the return (at five p.m.) at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva , will be enough to earn Haiti a spot in the Sedley Joseph group, alongside T&T, Barbados and Martinique. The Bobby Sookram group includes St Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, Cuba and Guadeloupe.
The competition begins on Friday with action in the Sedley Joseph group, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo. T&T take on Barbados at six p.m., while Martinique face Haiti/Bermuda two hours later.
The Bobby Sookram group will be played at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella and kicks off on Sunday. Cuba will play Guadeloupe at five p.m., while St Vincent and the Grenadines clash with Guyana at seven.
