Well the way I see it is that College players have not proven themselves to me. They are not professional players by the way. College is not supposed to be professional.
Players competing every week to earn a spot in the National is a good thing for the league and it is not fair to them to open the door to College players just because they live in another country.
Professional atheletes are better than college amateurs in my book.
Their goal should be MLS or USL if they are serious about Football.

Eddy15 .. Nobody is trying to break anything ... all I'm trying to do is to make it better ......Lets find talent in all 4 corner of the world for the NT ...
Second, You are comparing Brazil with a population of over 120 million people versus Haiti population of 8-10 million people .. bad comparison ..
Pano .. again, I'm repeating myself ... I said training, not taking somebody spot .. Training ...
Pano, You said that College players are good for MLS or USL ... Then, they must not be good enough for Haiti First Division ...
How is College Player suppose to prove themselves, if they are not given the opportunity to train or compete in Haiti .... The Case of Ricardo Pierre Louis .. Playing for Lee University in Tenessesse .... Ricardo Pierre Louis is a former player of Cavaly that chose to attend the Lee University ....
Based on the Fact that Ricardo Pierre Louis play for Cavaly and chose to Attend College ... should he not be given a chance to train with NT or because he play in College, has he not proven himself ..
Professional Athletes are more advances than a College player but that those not mean that they are better than college player, nor college player are better than them .....As I recall a bunch of US College Player U20 beat a bunch of Haitian U20 Professional players ..
and Haiti NT team beat Trinidad in Digicel Cup when Trinidad had 12 of 18 players from College or University playing on the Trinidad team .. ...The majority of Trinidad Foregin base players skip the Digicel Tournament .... Decided instead to stay in Europe with their clubs instead of joining the Digicel Cup ...
So Basically Haiti Professional NT beat a bunch of Trinidad College players in the Finals ...

Banna we should make a poll about this and see what the general public thinks.
Poll Title: Gold Cup 2007 Preparation
1) The selection should focus on the A-team and open doors only to Professional League Players (Domestic and International).
2) The selection should invite College Students to training sessions with the A-Team to scout for future talent and encourage Foreign based aspiring soccer athletes.
3) The selection should invite U-20 players to training sessions to get them experience against stronger opponent and possibly scout talent for WC 2010 Qualifiers.
The options are long so 3 of them is enough.

I think most people will agree with me, if they don't I'll use my Super Moderator power and declare the Poll invalid :-)
PS: I learned this by watching Haitian Politics.

Pano, I totally disagree with you, like bana2166 said most of the Trinidad & Tobago are College students. This is how we can able to discover some of talented youngster who living in the United States wishes to support the Country; you mention they have to wait for MLS an USL!! so you gonna compare the MLS and the Haiti 1st Division. I think this is the best time the for the National Team to give this kids a change to train, like bana2166 said the College youngster can able to train with the Senior team without no one spot. I don?t see anything wrong with that. Also look Alttido this kid just came from in High school. You have to understand the root man!!! Its start when you little not when you 23 or 26 years old ?Bana2166 I totally agree with you my brother?
