Ricardo Pierre-Louis to star in 2007
Waltham, March 2007; After an undefeated regular season in 2006, the Cape Cod Crusaders have strengthened their squad and again assembled a team ready to challenge for the third PDL National Championship in club history.
The highlight of the 2007 recruiting class is Haitian international Ricardo Pierre-Louis from Lee University. The two-time NAIA All American has also been invited to join the Haitian national team as part of the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad for a portion of the summer months.
“To watch Ricardo in a Crusaders jersey is something I am very much looking forward to,” said Head Coach Paul Baber. “To secure a player of his international caliber is evidence of our desire to win this year's national title.”
The junior striker has been catapulted into the spotlight with two phenomenal years in the collegiate game. As well as winning All America and SSAC Player of the Year honors in his first two years, Pierre Louis has added a breathtaking 72 goals to boot.
“Ricardo comes to us with an unbelievable goal-to-game ratio,” said Baber. “Leading the front line, he should present our opponents with a very daunting prospect in 2007.”
Pierre-Louis is just one of several new faces to sign for the Crusaders this season. Be sure to check
