FLASH FLASH FLASH 13 joueurs abandonnent la sélection U-17 de football d'Haïti à New York

Treize joueurs de la sélection haïtienne de football des moins de 17 ans ont fait défection dans la nuit de mardi à mercredi lors d’une escale à New York, a annoncé le président de la Fédération haïtienne de football, le Dr Yves Jean-Bart.
L’équipe devait prendre l’avion mercredi à destination de Séoul où elle était invitée à participer en compagnie de sept autres sélections à un tournoi international préparatoire au Mondial 2007 prévu du 18 août au 9 septembre en Corée du Sud.
Pour la première fois de son histoire, Haïti s’est qualifiée pour cette compétition organisée par la Fédération internationale de football association (FIFA).
Totalement démoralisé, le Dr Jean-Bart a menacé d’alerter la Police fédérale américaine (FBI) si "les jeunes kidnappés ne réintègrent pas dans les meilleurs délais la délégation haïtienne à New York"

According to Radio Caraibe FM this morning
13 players of the U17 team that is suppose to fly to Korea this morning to participate in a tournament did not show up at the airport this morning
U17 team flew last night to JFK Kennedy airport and was suppose to take a flight this morning to Korea .... but 13 players did not show up this morning for the flight
According to Radio Caraibe Report ... either the players got pickup by their family or the players disappear (Sauve') ...
Right now the delegation is trying to contact or find this players because the team is suppose to fly to Korea this morning but 13 players are basically missing at the airport or Sauve'
Right now, this story is still developping on the Radio and I am following this story on the Radio ...
I'll kept you posted .... the story involved the U-17 team, not the Senior Squad ...

I my opinion and My opinion only ....
We have 13 players that is part of the Haitian U17 Selection Team and suppose to fly to Korea disappear at the airport ... They're disappearance is an embarrassment's to the Federation and the country ...
You don't have to love Haiti but that does not mean you disrespect the country ... Respect is a two way street, not one ...
If you don't have respect for Haiti .. I don't have respect for you ...
that is why I will not hesitate to call INS (Immigration National Services) for this players that disappear and disrespected the country in a tournament you are suppose to represent the country ...
I totally agree that everybody got to do what they have to do ... but You don't have to disrespect us when you do what you have to do ...

I am already dissapointed in the Senior squad performance in CONCACAF Gold Cup this weekend and I was looking forward to U17 team participation in Korea
Instead of looking forward to Korea, now we have to deal with this Bull Shirt ....
I am not embarrass to be Haitian.... I am just disappointed in the way the U17 selection team is acting or the adults that is supervising U17 team is acting ... Somebody is given this kids bad advice ...

I do not have words to express my feelings , what an embarrassment brothers my wife is so interested in the U17 progress she has been reading so much ugly things about my country lately.

that is horrible, when we Haitians will ever earn any respect if we acting like that.
those should be proud representing home country in such big stage.
I am speechless
Then again i truly hope this a mistake they are ok and perhaps on their way to the airport or something.

Man if that would happened i would never ever go to Haiti again... This is disgusting not only for the Country also for the Haitian President and for us who live in United State… Guys lets pray that not happened otherwise…football in Haiti is Derail. Oh my God !!

Sorry to say, but this has nothing to do with lack of respect for Haiti. it's about self-preservation in an otherwise hellish place.
These have known or seen too many better known, more talented player go to waste after "serving their country". To these kids, this trip (and chance to be in New York) is the stuff of dreams, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in a country where no one really cares about their future. Making a run for it is their reward to themselves for making it this far.
Who knows wht's going to happen after Korea? Who knows what coup d'Etat is being planned? These kids are mature, they have already experienced unimaginable hardships. They know the future in Haiti is more than uncertain. They know they're still too young to be noticed in Korea and get contracts. So they have seized the day: CAPE DIEM. Ayibobo pou yo!!
Which one of you "nationalists" wants to go back to Haiti and trade place with these kids?
