Balladeur ak Bonhomme nou byen pale,

Marketing, marketing, marketing:
Finally, I've been trying to get on this forum for the longest: Aaahhhahhhh! For the past three months I've been trying, I couldn't get through.
I was there in 1974 watching the concacaf. At the time the team was sponsored by the government. They were called amateurs. Haiti football had always been sponsored by the government. I hope your memory is not short, you guys remember in 2004 the national team was in Miami, right before they went to Jamaica for the second leg, the coach had to come on Haitian radio to beg for money? The team had no money for food, no money to pay for the hotel where they were staying. Tears came down running my eyes when I heard that. How did we expect to beat Jamaica in KINGSTON? And, everytime something bad happens in Haiti it effects the mental of the team. Let's hope Haiti stays cool for the duration of the world cup qualifiers. NO FIGHTING PLEASE!
Again how in the world our teams are supposed to suport themselves if no one shows up at the stadiums to pay, I mean to pay to support their teams. I got to take my hat off to Digicel every time for backing up our national team. But, what are the fans doing to support their personal team first of all. Yes, I'm a Violette fan, I want to support my team, but I am thousand of miles away. But, But, atleast I could order a T-shirt of Viloette or any other team to support the cause; like Rolado, I just love that name or that team from St Marc which is leading the league now. But, where do I buy that T-shirt? No team has a site or anything to buy from. Most of the big clubs like Manchester, chelsea, Arsenal etc. they sell everything about their team, even tea cups. Why not Haitian teams?
Guess what, do you know how long I've been trying to buy a Haitian national team T-shirt? since 1999 or 2000 when they beat Equator 2-0 in the Gold cup quaterfinals.
I went to all the sites, I saw Jamaica, Trinidad, Mexico...etc. Haiti? Nooooo.
Those teams have to start selling aparels anything to raise money. The thing is not when we're on our away somewhere it's when we have to scramble for money. Sponsors should be fighting each other to get a team. We've been playing football too long to still be in that state of despear. Also it's when you win you get sposors and when you win you get to play on the world stage, the world sees you then you get contracts to play for big clubs abroad. Marketing, marketing, marketing prepare yourself.
