Soccer Football/Soccer - Brazil Star duo Ronaldinho & Robinho added to Olympics squad

Brazil Star duo Ronaldinho & Robinho added to Olympics squad
Barcelona's Ronaldinho and Real Madrid forward Robinho will lead Brazil's assault on a first Olympic football gold in Beijing in August.
Manchester United midfielder Anderson is one of three Premier League players selected in the 18-man squad.
Manchester City's new record signing Jo, Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva and Anderson will all miss the start of the new season.
The Olympics is the only significant title Brazil have never won.
The Brazilians won the silver medal twice, in 1984 in Los Angeles and 1988 in Seoul and they won the bronze in 1996 in Atlanta.
Brazil are in Group C with Belgium, China and New Zealand and begin their campaign on 8 August against Belgium.
Coach Dunga picked Fluminense defender Thiago Silva as the third player older than 23 in the squad, in addition to Ronaldinho and Robinho.
"The experience factor can be decisive in the Olympics," Dunga said.
"That's why several players born in 1985 were chosen, and even the youngsters already have international experience."
Goalkeepers: Diego Alves (Almeria), Renan (Internacional). Defenders: Ilsinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Rafinha (Shalke), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Alex Silva (Sao Paulo), Breno (Bayern Munich), Thiago Silva (Fluminense).
Midfielders: Anderson (Manchester United), Diego (Werder Bremen); Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Lucas (Liverpool), Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona), Thiago Neves (Fluminense).
Forwards: Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Jo (Manchester City), Rafael Sobis (Real Betis), Robinho (Real Madrid).

Soccer Robinho and Ronaldinho lead Brazil's Olympic team

Robinho and Ronaldinho lead Brazil's Olympic team
Add Brazil to the list of contenders for Olympic gold after including Ronaldinho and Robinho as overage players on its squad, which was named on Monday.
Ronaldinho and Robinho are joined by defender Thiago Silva as over-age players. Kaka originally intended to play in the Olympics but AC Milan denied his request.
Here is the full Brazil squad, along with their potential starting lineup:
Brazil Olympic Team
Goalkeepers: Diego Alves (Almeria), Renan (Internacional).
Defenders: Ilsinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Rafinha (Shalke), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Alex Silva (Sao Paulo), Breno (Bayern Munich), Thiago Silva (Fluminense).
Midfielders: Anderson (Manchester United), Diego (Werder Bremen); Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Lucas (Liverpool), Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona), Thiago Neves (Fluminense).
Forwards: Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Jo (Manchester City), Rafael Sobis (Real Betis), Robinho (Real Madrid).
So what might this lineup look like? Here's a potential starting XI:
----------Robinho---------Pato------------
------Ronaldinho---------Diego------------
--------Lucas--------------Anderson-------
Marcelo------Silva----Breno------Rafinha
-------------------Alves---------------------
That right there is a great lineup and I'm having second thoughts about having handed Argentina the gold last week. That back four for Brazil could be very good and also dangerous with Marcelo and Rafinho charging down the wings. I also think Jo could start at target forward in a 4-3-3, with Lucas going to the bench.
Then there is the matter of Ronaldinho. Will he show up in shape and be ready to play well, or will he become a distraction and burden? If he plays well, Brazil can win gold. If not, he could distract the squad.
What do you think of Brazil's squad? Are they the gold medal favorites instead of Argentina? Share your thoughts below

Sorry, Barcelona rejected Ronaldo's participation. They claimed that it's not a Fifa date. Entonces Ronaldinho no podria participar en el torneo olimpico. Sorry Ronaldinho Fans... Viva Argentina, Lionel Messi doen't have that problem, he is under 23, the same as Aguero, Banega, Gago etc. you ban timoun argentin kap baille boule.
Camp Perrin moin fou pou ou!!!

Yeah, bummer, it would have been
so nice to see Ronaldinho in the Olympics but when you're dealing with the "big 14" they can screw things for you, he was not fit to play for Barcelona and he is ready to go for the gold, no can do even when Barca say they don't have him in their future plans they still own him til 2010.
Brazil just going to have to do it without Ronaldinho. Good Luck!
