The Haitian-American Community of Boston, Massachusetts will be celebrating
Haitian Heritage Month between May 1-31 2002, for the fourth consecutive year.
A series of cultural events are organized by Haitian-Americans United, Inc. and
many other Haitian Organizations. We invite you to view a calendar of these

The main objectives of these events are to:
1) highlight Haitian culture and provide a better understanding of the Haitian
way of life to a wide range of people in Massachusetts
2) promote community building & activism.
Attend the Haitian-American Unity Parade, on Sunday, May 12, 2002 - The parade
will feature student delegations from schools, colleges, and universities, youth
groups, state and city officials, community leaders, marching bands, the
religious, community, and social-cultural organizations. This parade is made
possible in part due to the support from mayor Thomas M. Menino, State
Representative Marie St. Fleur, other elected officials, as well as community
leaders and organizations.
