Brazil has a straight shot to the WC 2002 1/4 finals.
| The Draw will allow Brazil to have a relatively easy path to the quarter finals. Brazil is in group C with Turkey, China and Costa Rica. The top two favorites for this group are Brazil and Turkey. Turkey's squad will probably be composed of the Gallatasaray players who won the 1999/2000 UEFA cup and went on to beat Real Madrid in the Super Cup finals. This team was composed of Turk players except for Taffarel and Jardel. The top 2 teams of group C will play the top two team of group H with, Russia, Belgium, Japan and Tunisia again none of the major soccer countries are present. Once the Brazilians get to the Quarter finals they will have to face either France, England, Argentina or Sweeden. This should be an interesting World Cup, out of all the soccer powers Italy is in the best position to win WC2002! |
