SUMMARY: THE Haitian government wants Michèle Montas to believe that common criminals killed her husband, Jean Dominique. Never mind that he was the country's most famous journalist and fiercest critic of government corruption. Never mind that President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and several government ministers reportedly huddled with the investigating judge before indictments were issued on Monday. Never mind that someone tried to kill Ms. Montas herself on Christmas Day, forcing her to silence Radio Haïti-Inter, the station that she and her husband had run since the 1970's.

REAL COURAGE

Nancy Roc and Michele Montas' self-pity starts to be ennoying. Theirs selfserving criticisms of Aristide sound too little too late to give them the new virginity they seek.

Real courage was to stand alone when Aristide's metamorphosis began. But today and yesterday Aristide's zealots and foreign cheerleaders (Jonathan Demme, Harry Bellafonte, Dany Glover and the others) were too busy kissing his ass.

Enough with winnings ! Show some real courage : start with a detailed and uncompromised mea culpa to Haitian people who believed the propaganda you used to give them on a daily basis during the years of hope you wasted.
