South African convoy shot at in haiti

SUMMARY: South African security forces were fired upon in Haiti yesterday, reportedly by rebel forces. The South Africans returned fire. Government sources say President Thabo Mbeki, who is visiting the country to participate in its double centenary celebrations, was not close to the incident.
