01/11/05 - Haiti lost at home to Cuba and must win next Sunday?s away game against Cuba to reach the final stages of the qualifiers where 4 teams will compete for 3 berths into the Gold Cup. Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago are favorites to join the host Barbados in the Caribbean Cup Final and until last Sunday Haiti was the favorite to be the fourth team to reach the final stage of the competiotion. Haiti failed to qualify for the last Gold Cup due to the lack of experience and leadership of the coaching staff (Argentinean 3rd division makeshift coach). This year after receiving world wide coverage, during their courageous quest to World Cup 2006 and the historical game against Brazil, Haitian soccer must perform to keep the support of the Haitian Football supporters in Haiti and the Diaspora.
